Service Description

Dry needling uses a thin, filiform needle that is inserted through the skin into the muscular layer to address myofascial and neuro-trigger points. This technique is beneficial to decrease local pain but also systemic pain caused by these neuro-trigger points. Although the "dry" needles are the same as used for acupuncture, it is not the same. Acupuncture is based on the laws of Traditional Chinese medicine while dry needling is based on the laws of modern medicine.
